The Yankees rout the Orioles 15-3

And that’s a series sweep!! The Yankees sweep the Orioles in this 3 game set and advance to 5-4 on the season!

The offense was on fire today launching home runs left and right! The party started in the Yankees half of the second when Gleyber Torres and Clint Frazier both took David Hess deep to give the Yanks a 2-0 lead! Frazier would then go on to hit another home run in the 9th. The Yankees tacked on 2 more runs off the bat of Gary Sanchez in the 3rd inning and Sanchez would go on to hit 2 more home runs completing a 3 home run game which tied him for the MLB home run leader! The Yankees have enjoyed 18 straight home runs from the long ball now and completely routed Baltimore today!

Domingo German was excellent this afternoon. He went 6 innings throwing 5.1 no hit innings! He struck out 3 O’s and only allowed 2 hits! He was just about as good as anyone would have expected him to be. Tarpley and Cessa finished the game for the Yankees throwing a combined 3 innings between the two of them suffering one earned run.

The Yankees will go to Houston for a big three game series vs the Astros. They will look to take this power and momentum and continue their success vs Justin Verlander tomorrow!
