Yankees Red Sox preview 4/17/19
The Yankees look to make it 2 straight wins against the Red Sox with a win tonight to sweep this short 2 game series.
Player to watch:
The player to watch is Clint Frazier. Frazier has made a case that he should be the starting left fielder when Hicks returns from injury. Clint Frazier has hit .297 with 3 home runs (1 home run last night) 5 runs scored and 10 RBIs. He should be a force to be reckoned with tomorrow and any chance he gets to play this season.
Pitching Match up:
Today will feature two struggling pitchers Nathan Eovaldi and J.A. Happ. Both pitchers have yet to pick up a win on the season and both have ERAs over 8. These are not pretty stats at all. Happ has not performed well at all for the Yankees so far this season but arguably Eovaldi has been even worse. Even though his ERA is slightly lower Eovaldi has walked double the batters Happ has(10 to 5) and Eovaldi has also allowed 6 homers already this season, This match up has the potential to be a slug fest it could also be the outing that helps these pitchers turn it around.
Location: Yankee Stadium
