Yankees offense stopped lose too Royals

The Runner

The Yankees lose to the Royals 6-1 too start off this 4 game set, the offense was disappointing and the pitching was especially bad. The bullpen left a lot to be desired.

Game Summary

Offense:

The Yankees offense was completely horrible today the offense could only muster 4 hits and one run on a sac fly in the first inning. The only player with a really good game was Clint Frazier he continued his hot start to the season with 2 hits in 4 at bats which brought his season average to .347 he has been one of the best player on the Yanks. Hopefully the rest of the Yankee lineup can pick it up and get it going.

CBS

Pitching:

The pitching today wasn't all bad German wasn't dominate but he kept the Yankees in the game with 6 quality innings only allowing 3 runs and striking out 9. German has really proved that he can be a quality starter for the Yankees. What really hurt the Yankees was the bullpen tonight. Jonathan Holder let up 2 runs in less than an inning. Holder has had a tough start to the season with a 7 ERA to start the season. So the Yankee starting rotation has been solid but the bullpen needs some work.
