Yankee Redsox preview
Updated: Apr 16, 2019
Both the Yankees and the Redsox limp into their first clash of the season for a 2 game set at Yankee stadium. The Yankees will look to bounce back tonight vs their division rivals the Boston Red Sox tonight at 6:35 PM. The Yankees have been struggling as of late and tonight is a prefect time for the team to gain some momentum.
Player to watch:
Paxton is 1-2 on the season with a 6.00 ERA in his first few starts in pinstripes after being sent to NY from Seattle for top pitching prospect Justus Sheffield. This is a great opportunity to try and prove his worth against a dangerous Boston lineup. He will look to improve after Carlos Beltran pointed out he may be tipping pitches. He needs to bounce back in a big way tonight.
Two lefties square up tonight in James Paxton for New York and Chris Sale for Boston. Sale has had the Yankees number in the past but hopefully the Yanks can break through tonight. Both pitchers, despite past success, have not seen that same success to start the new year. Both pitchers will look to get back on track tonight.
Location: Yankee stadium
First pitch: 6:35 PM
