Judge goes down but Yankees rout Royals 9-2

YANKEES win!! The Yankees defeat the Royals 9-2 in a rout!! However, this win wasn’t without a cost. And a big cost indeed. Yankee star Aaron Judge went down with an oblique injury after a base hit to right and went to the hospital for an MRI. However, the bats were on fire today launching home runs left and right. Tanaka was brilliant today and the bullpen followed to shut down the Kansas City lineup. These all factored into a solid win!

Aaron Judge got the party started today with a solo shot in the first inning. Clint Frazier continues to rake adding a home run of his own after Judge to extend the lead to 2-0. In the 5th, after a Gleyber Torres home run was nullified leading to a Boone ejection, Tauchman and LeMahieu made the runs right back by homering giving the Yanks a 6-0 lead! The Yankees scraped together three more runs with the help of Gleyber Torres, Clint Frazier and Gio Urshela

with hits.

On the other side of the ball, Tanaka didn’t disappoint. He threw 7 innings of one run ball and striking out 7.

The Yankees will look to win the series tomorrow with James Paxton on the bump.
