YANKEES WIN!! What a game!! The Yankees routed Boston in game one of this short two game set. The depleted Yankee lineup went after Sale knocking him out after 5 innings and putting 4 on the scoreboard.

It started in the 3rd inning when DJ LeMahieu continued his tear to start the season and hit an RBI single to give the Yanks a 1-0 lead. Voit followed the same inning to drive in another run making it 2-0.

In the 4th inning, Clint Frazier led off with a bang smashing a home run to right! Tauchman followed

with an RBI double.

In the 6th inning, Tauchman struck again crushing a three run home run blowing it open making it 7-0. Gleyber tacked on even more insurance in the 7th hitting a solo home run that went 376 ft.

James Paxton was DEALING tonight. Paxton’s first start against rivals Boston Redsox was a showing of absolute domination! Big Maple tossed 8 scoreless frames allowing just 2 hits and K’d up 12 Boston hitters!! What a great performance from Paxton who was rather mediocre to start the season!!

This is a great bounce back win for the Yankees as they crush division rivals and defending champion Redsox holding them to just 3 hits!

The Yankees will go for the series sweep tomorrow!!

Thoughts on the win?
