Homers by Gardner and Sanchez lead Yanks past Tigers

The Yankees bounced back from two tough losses and won a must needed game against Detroit.

Pitching
The Yankees were lead by a good start by Domingo German. German struck out 7 but did walk 5 batters. Even with 5 walks he still only allowed 1 run so he got the job done.
The bullpen also got the job done putting up 4 shutout inning culminating in Chapmans first save of the year.
Offense
Gardner played a huge part in this game he went 2-4 with his first home run of the year and a stolen base.
Gary also added a home run. This was Sanchez's 2nd home run of the new season and this a good sign for Sanchez since his season last year did not start out well at all.
This was a great victory for the Yankees and hopefully they can keep it rolling tomorrow.
The Yankees will play tomorrow at 6:35 PM ET as they look to continue their winning ways.
